Drax the Destroyer is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), portrayed by Dave Bautista. He is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, known for his literal interpretations, exceptional fighting skills, and tragic backstory.

He first appeared in the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy. In the movie, Drax is driven by a singular desire for vengeance against Ronan the Accuser, who murdered his family. He joins Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot to stop Ronan from using an Infinity Stone to destroy Xandar.
